Adult of the Month winner for Responsibility: Nicole Bogle.
I would like to nominate Nicole Bogle for doing an outstanding job as our Building Facilitator, Site-Based Member, and classroom teacher. She is not yet a veteran teacher but exemplifies the characteristics of one. She has shown responsibility in many ways. After only a couple of years of teaching experience, she agreed to take on the role of Building Facilitator, which requires a lot of extra work for the person responsible. During this time, she was not only teaching during the day, but working on paperwork for this extra duty, fulfilling her responsibilities as a mother and wife, and completing her Master’s Degree, all at the same time! Throughout her second year of duties for this position, she also managed to complete her Rank I Certification! She has managed to keep everything turned in on time and running smoothly!
Nicole is a very dedicated staff member and we are very lucky to have her aboard at Southern Elementary.
I would like to nominate Lillie Turpin to represent our class for responsibility. Lillie demonstrates responsibility on a daily basis. When she enters the building each morning, she almost acts as if she is on a mission. She comes straight to the classroom, gets her things ready to begin the day, sharpens her pencil, goes to her seat, and upon completion of her morning work, grabs a chapter book and reads quietly until the morning announcement are made. Throughout the day, she always does what is expected in class and offers assistance to any student that may need it at anytime.
There are a couple of girls who come into our classroom in the mornings who need extra assistance, each day Lillie partners with one of the girls and helps her in any way she can. She doesn’t give her the answers, but discusses the work with her and even takes the time to explain each step. She really is a very responsible little girl that we are blessed to have in our class!!
