Adult of the Month winner for Respect: Regina farmer
I would like to nominate Regina Farmer for the adult of the month for Respect.
Mrs. Regina Farmer could be the adult of the month for many character words. She is a woman of good character. The word Respect deals with showing respect to others, which Regina definitely does. Respect also means to refrain from interfering with. She shows respect in this manner also. Regina does not meddle in the business of others and refrains from gossip. She shows both areas of respect to staff members and parents regardless of their position, and pay scale.
Regina takes her job seriously and enjoys working with our children at Southern Elementary. Through her good character, she tries to infuse the students with good character as well.

Student of the Month winner for Respect: Michael Hines.
I have known Michael, the student for a couple of years. He is always polite and kind in the classroom to peers and adults. It has only been in the last couple of years that I have gotten to know Michael the football player.
Michael had a rocky start at first and he wasn't sure if football was for him. However, he already respected his coaches and the commitment. Through the encouragement of his parents, Michael stayed with football and is one of the best players on his team. He shows respect by helping team members get up from a tackle. He is always respectful to coaches and other teams. This past weekend he asked his coaches and our opposing team's coaches if he could lead both team in prayer. He prayed that everyone would have safe travel and be able to play again some day because everyone was such as a good sport. I had a lot of respect for Michael that day. He truly is a good sport.
