Josh Anderson visit to Southern Elementary.
The students that attended the Braves Pow Wow on Friday, December 19, 2008 received a surprise visit from Pulaski County local Atlanta Braves pro-baseball player; Josh Anderson and his wife Heather.
Josh talked to the students about his life as a professional baseball player and the importance of good character. He used the school's motto of:
Be prepared
Respect all
Act responsible
Visualize success
Encourage others
Safety
Josh explained to the students how he has used these very important tools in his personal and professional life and how they have helped him become the successful person that he is today.
Heather and Josh had the students write their names on paper baseballs and they did a drawing to give away autographed pictures, an Astros jersey, an Atlanta Braves jersey, an Atlanta Braves ball cap and autographed baseballs.
The students had a wonderful afternoon and appreciated this special visit.
