Adult of the month:
Tammy has been actively involved with our school and its programs since her oldest child started Kindergarten, he is now in 9
grade and she continues to do so. Tammy started volunteering and became involved with our school PTA program. Every year she has held an office within the PTA organization and she has been to go to person to get many projects started within our school. Tammy oversees programs such as the Spirit Card fundraiser, Book Fair, Fall festival, Santa’s workshop, Box tops fundraiser and she completes the yearbook for Southern Elementary. Tammy sure shows Loyalty towards our school and their staff and has now for many years.
Besides the Loyalty towards our school, Tammy also shows Loyalty towards her family and church. Whatever or whenever there is a need with in her family or her church, Tammy is there to do what she can to make a difference.
Tammy started as our library assistant two years ago and within that capacity she continues to go above and beyond her duties and still continues to provide her services to the PTA program. We are very fortunate that Tammy is one of our staff members and a great asset to our school. And because of her loyalty towards the blue and orange, I nominate her.
I would like to nominate
for Character Word of the Month…Loyalty.
Madison has proven to be loyal to her classmates and friends throughout the years. She is faithful to treat her classmates with kindness and is steadfast in showing herself to be trustworthy and dependable.
Madison keeps a smile on her face and often has a thoughtful word to go along with it.
Webster’s dictionary defines loyalty as “a feeling of strong support for someone or something”. With Madison’s considerate nature, she is a wonderful example of this. She is able to notice when a friend is in need and is then willing to help a friend. That is her way of “supporting someone”. That is what being loyal is all about.
